Wedding Invitation Checklist: Every Detail Before You Share

Your invitation is going out to hundreds of people you love. Run through this checklist before you tap Share.

Names and details

• Bride and groom names spelled correctly (check both given name and surname)
• Family names included if using traditional host line style
• No autocorrect errors — especially in ornate names

Dates

• Main wedding date confirmed against an actual calendar — is the day-of-week correct?
• Each event date checked individually
• Muhurat time for religious ceremonies verified with the pandit or officiant
• Timezone noted if any guests are international

Venues

• Full venue name (not the abbreviation only you know)
• Street address or neighbourhood so the map works correctly
• Separate venue for each event — don't assume everything is in the same place
• Test the map link — does it point to the right pin?

Events

• All ceremonies added (haldi, mehendi, sangeet, wedding, reception)
• Dress code set for each event individually
• Sort order is logical (chronological, not alphabetical)
• Ceremonies you're not inviting everyone to are NOT on this invitation — create a separate link for the inner circle

Story and cover

• Cover photo is portrait-oriented and loads quickly (under 2 MB)
• Story text reads naturally aloud — any awkward sentences?
• No confidential or sensitive information in the story

RSVP

• RSVP form is enabled
• You have a way to check RSVPs (check the invitation admin page after publishing)

Preview and share

• Open the live link on your own phone first — does everything look right?
• Share to a private "test" WhatsApp chat — does the preview card show correctly?
• Text a trusted friend or family member to confirm they can open and read everything
• Only then share to the main family group
